Can you add a gate to my existing fence?+
Yes. We cut in and frame new gates on existing wood, vinyl, and chain link fences — including fences other companies built.
How wide should a drive gate be?+
Most double drive gates we build run 8–10 feet — plenty of room for mowers, trailers, and trucks. Ten feet is the widest we build, and we’ll measure your equipment and approach angle at the estimate to size it right.
How much does it cost to install a fence gate in Dayton?+
It depends on width, material, and hardware — a standard walk gate is a modest add-on, while a 10-foot double drive gate is a bigger build. Every gate quote is free, on site, with no surprises after.
Can you fix a sagging or dragging gate?+
Yes — sagging gates are one of our most common repair calls. Usually it is a leaning hinge post or worn hardware; we reset the post, square the frame, and upgrade the hinges so it swings true for years.
What gate latches and hardware do you use?+
Heavy-duty, exterior-rated hinges and latches — including self-closing, lockable, and pool-code self-latching options. Cheap hardware is why most gates fail, so we do not install it.
How wide should a walk gate be?+
Most walk gates we build are 4 feet — wide enough for a push mower, wheelbarrow, or trash cans without squeezing. If you’ve got a wider mower deck, tell us at the estimate and we’ll size the opening to it.
Can you replace just the gate without replacing the whole fence?+
Yes — a worn-out gate on a solid fence is a quick, affordable fix. We build a new gate to match your existing fence, check the hinge post while we’re there, and hang it so it swings true.
How long does it take to install a fence gate?+
Most gates — walk gates and double drive gates alike — are done in a day. We set hinge posts with 80 lb bags of Sakrete, wet-set or dry-packed depending on soil and conditions, so your gate hangs solid and swings true the same day.
Do you replace rotted or leaning gate posts?+
Yes — the hinge post does all the heavy lifting, so it’s usually the first thing to go. We pull the old post, set a new one in concrete, and rehang your gate so it swings true again.
